While you will be enjoying a luxury transfer and a refined lunch, the actual truffle hunt takes place in a natural woodland environment. We highly recommend wearing comfortable, weather-appropriate outdoor clothing and sturdy walking shoes or sneakers. Please avoid open-toe shoes, sandals, or high heels. You are welcome to bring a change of shoes or an extra layer for the lunch portion of the tour.
The hunt goes on rain or shine! In fact, damp soil often enhances the scent of the truffles for the dogs. As part of our exclusive service, you won’t need to worry about packing heavy gear: we provide premium rain boots, waterproof jackets, and umbrellas for all our guests. You will be able to enjoy the authentic foraging experience in the woods completely dry and comfortable. If the weather conditions are considered extremely unsafe, our team will contact you in advance to reschedule.
The truffles unearthed during the experience belong to the Tartufaio (truffle hunter), as they are highly valuable and part of their livelihood. However, as our guest, you will have the exclusive first option to purchase the fresh truffles you found directly on-site at a special rate.

Yes! Families are very welcome, and children usually love watching the intelligent truffle dogs in action. Please note that the woodland terrain can be uneven, so the walk is best suited for children who can comfortably hike for about an hour. We can also arrange a kid-friendly menu for lunch upon request.
The walk is generally considered easy to moderate. We will be moving at a slow, relaxed pace to let the dogs work. However, because it is a natural forest path, the ground may be uneven, slightly sloped, or muddy. It is not suitable for wheelchairs or guests with severe mobility issues.
